Golf Buddy Aim w11 Golf GPS Watch

Golf is an expensive hobby. Golfers spend a great deal of money on equipment, memberships, and travel expenses.

If you want to be able to keep up with the other golfers in your club, then it’s important that you have all the latest gadgets and gear.

One piece of tech that I highly recommend for every golfer is a GPS watch.

This review will cover everything you need to know about the Golf Buddy Aim W11 Golf GPS Watch!

Golf Buddy Aim W11 Review:- Features

Design

The Golf Buddy comes in a wide range of colors, and you can even get additional straps for free!

It is water-resistant up to IPX-level (an international waterproofing standard) which means that it will survive splashes or brief contact with rain. I like how lightweight the watch feels; at “only” one point nine ounces it definitely won’t get in the way of your swing.

The Golf Buddy’s design is sleek and modern, and the touch screen is very responsive.

Accuracy

It is accurate to within one yard, which is about average for watches in this price range. It can track your shot distance and club selection after every swing thanks to the built-in accelerometer.

The watch also has a “green view” mode that will help you figure out how far away from the green edge you are. This is useful on long putts!

The Golf Buddy also has an auto-hole advance feature that will automatically move to the next hole when you cross over into another fairway.

It saves a lot of time and hassle, which golfers like myself appreciate very much.

I was pleasantly surprised with how accurate this watch ended up being; I was able to consistently get within a yard of my actual distance.

The only downside is that the accuracy seems to drop when I’m playing on courses with lots of hills or trees, but this is common for GPS watches in general and not something specific to the Golf Buddy Aim W11.

Overall, I give this watch’s accuracy an A-.

Color Display

The screen is a high-quality color display, and it has an impressive viewing angle.

I was able to show off the watch to my friends without any problems.
The touch screen functioned well even when my hands were sweaty or dirty during play; however, I did notice that sometimes the touch feature didn’t work as expected if moisture got between the screen and my skin.

I also like how you can use both touch screens and buttons to toggle through screens, which makes it easy to find what I’m looking for even if I have a hard time seeing things on the small display.

The color of this watch is black with either red or blue highlights depending on your preference, so there are no problems there.

The screen is absolutely gorgeous, and the colors are clear even when I’m outside in bright sunlight!

The only problem with this watch’s color display is that it can be difficult to see if you’re playing at night; however, most golfers don’t play much after sunset anyway.

So overall I give the Golf Buddy Aim W11’s color display an A.

Automatic Zoom In/Out

The Golf Buddy’s automatic zoom in/out feature is definitely a plus.

It makes it very easy to see the entire hole at once, and I never had any problems with it not working properly.

This function comes in handy when you’re playing on bigger courses where you can’t see the whole green from your tee box.

The watch will automatically zoom in to show you the distance from your current location, and it can even keep track of up to four individual players’ distances.

The only downside is that this function doesn’t work with pre-mapped courses.

I personally don’t use a GPS watch when playing on a course for which I have already uploaded all my data because there’s no need, but I can see how this would be a problem for some people.

Overall, the automatic zoom in/out feature gets an A from me.

Green Undulation display

The Aim W11 has a Green Undulation display that shows you the slopes of the green in different colors.

The industry-changing addition of this makes it an absolute must-have device for any golfer who’s going to be playing on courses with undulating greens or anyone looking to improve their putting skills!

It is available at only select courses, so be sure to check and see if your favorite course is on the list.

This display is incredibly helpful; I was able to use it to line up my putts better than ever before!

The different colors make it easy to see how severe the slope is, which can be a huge help when you’re trying to make a putt.

The Golf Buddy Aim W11 is the only golf GPS watch on the market that has this feature, so if you’re looking for a way to take your game to the next level, then look no further!

I give Green Undulation an A+.

Distance To Greens & Hazards

The Golf Buddy Aim W11 also has a feature that displays the distance to the front, center, and back of the green as well as distances to targets and hazards.

This information is incredibly helpful because it allows you to plan your shots better.

I found that I was able to use this function to my advantage by picking different clubs depending on how far the hole was from me.

I also like that this function is very easy to use because it’s just a matter of scrolling through different screens and pressing buttons on the side of your watch rather than fiddling with complicated menus.

Overall, I give Golf Buddy’s Distance To Greens & Hazards feature an A+.

Battery life

The battery life of the W11 is pretty good.

I was able to play with it on a single charge for an entire round and still had some juice left over when I finished, which is perfect considering the average round of golf takes four hours or so.

It’s always nice not having to worry about running out of battery while you’re playing; this watch definitely made my rounds a lot less stressful.

The battery capacity of “600 mA” is also the strongest in its class, so you can be sure that this watch will last a long time.

Overall, I give the Golf Buddy Aim W11’s battery life an A-. Thanks, Golf Buddy! 🙂

Manual pin placement

It also has a feature that allows you to manually place the pin on the green.

This is great for courses that don’t have pre-mapped data, and I found it to be incredibly accurate.

It’s just a matter of scrolling through different screens and pressing buttons on the side of your watch rather than fiddling with complicated menus, so it’s very easy to use.

I give Aim W11’s manual pin placement feature an A+.

Digital scorecard

It also allows you to keep a digital scorecard. It will automatically remember the scores of up to four players, which is great if you play with different people from time to time or want to track how your game is improving over multiple rounds.

I really liked that this watch allowed me to compare my averages and stats with those of my friends, which made for some interesting post-round conversations.

Overall, I give the Golf Buddy Aim W11’s digital scorecard a feature of an A+.

Free Updates

Golf courses are constantly changing. New trees are being planted and bunkers are getting moved around all of the time.

Fortunately, Aim W11 allows you to receive free course updates wirelessly via Bluetooth, so you’ll always have the most up-to-date information.

Its pre-loaded 40,000 courses and the fact that it is wirelessly upgradeable definitely make this watch stand out from its competitors.

I give its free course updates an A+.
