Best Golf Balls For Distance Review And Buyer’s Guide

Best Golf Balls For Distance Review.

There are a lot of things you must consider when choosing which golf ball you should use. Here we will explore a few of the main points.

Is a proper golf ball really that important?

Many golfers place too much emphasis on their swing or on their clubs and don’t realize just how important a part the actual golf ball plays in their overall performance.Best Golf Balls For Distance

A lot of golfers, especially amateurs, don’t fully realize that the type of golf ball they are using could have as big of an effect on their game as their stance, swing or their clubs.

Some are under the impression that a golf ball is a golf ball and there is no difference between any two balls.

But it is actually incredibly important to pick the best golf ball for your needs and you will be amazed by just how much your game can be improved by using a ball that matches your needs.

What else should you take under advisement?

Your choice of the ball also largely depends on the nature of the course and also the conditions that the course is in on that particular day. If the grass is wet, you will need to choose a different ball than if the course is dry.

If the course is covered in water, you will want to use a ball that travels farther and has less of a spin with it. But if the ground is dry, then you will want something that will travel far but also be able to roll far as well once it hits the fairway.

How to pick the best golf ball for your particular needs is something that needs to be given proper attention. Most golfers won’t already know which golf balls are the best for their needs, so don’t be afraid to ask a golf professional or another trusted golfer which ball may be best for you.

Just remember to pick the best golf ball that will take strokes off your score and also get you the distance and precision that you are looking for.

Best Golf Balls For Distance List.

1) Callaway Supersoft Golf Balls

Callaway Golf Supersoft Magna Golf Balls

Last updated on May 15, 2023 04:37

  • Super soft Magna is oversized ball that creates all the super long, super straight, and super soft characteristics of Super soft with a super easy-to-hit construction

  • The ultra-low compression core promotes faster ball speed for longer distance and increased accuracy

  • Newly designed HEX Aerodynamics are optimized to reduce drag and enhance lift for long carry and long distance

  • A Soft Trigonometry cover formulation creates shot-stopping wedge spin and great feel

The Callaway Supersoft golf balls are great golf balls which provide a new dimension to improving your game. Not only does your game depend on your swing and your knowledge of club head control, but also on the ball you play with.

To many people this has never been a serious consideration. “I can play with any ball” they state. What they really mean is that their game is still dependent on their swing and that they are still trying to impart any controlled spin on the ball.

Normally they have difficulty no matter what ball they play with. Hence their statement “I can play with any ball”, because they are unable to differentiate one ball from another. The better players, however, can really tell the difference.

Callaway Supersoft Golf Balls have a thinner cover than other balls, and the cores are as precisely centered. The more centered the core to the cover, the truer the ball will travel, whether in the air or on the ground.

The patented HEX aerodynamic hexagonal system is still there and still seems better than conventional round dimples, but has been improved to give even more distance through the air.

The slightly softer cover of the Callaway Supersoft Golf Ball provides it with a bit more spin control round the greens, but pays it for that in distance off the tee.

That’s not to say the Callaway Supersoft Golf Ball is poor around the greens. It is pretty good compared to the Titleist Pro V1 and Wilson Px3, but is a bit down on the sheer control of spin that you can have using the supersoft golf ball.

It’s horses for courses really. If you can spin the ball well whatever you play with, then the Callaway Supersoft Golf Ball would probably be better, providing you with a few yards more distance.

But if you can whack the ball down 250 to 300 yards with a lake ball, then the Callaway Supersoft Golf Ball will give that little bit of extra spin control you might need around the greens.

Anybody who can whack a lake ball 250 yards is probably too much of a Hulk to be able to control spin in any case, and will need the Supersoft Golf Ball.

A Thin Cover is not for Rookies

Possibly one criticism of the Callaway Supersoft Golf Balls is its cover. It is thin, and for any but the best golfers can tend to peel quickly if the club does not hit it perfectly.

Then again, players who miss the shot too often shouldn’t be playing with these balls. They are designed for better players who know exactly what they are looking for in a golf ball, and who understand this extra dimension to their game.

The cover, however, has one advantage over other golf balls. There is no visible seam. What this means to a pro golfer is that the performance of the ball will be same irrespective of how it is lying. Seamed covers are prone to ‘phantom flyers’ caused by the orientation of the seam at strike.

The Callaway Supersoft Golf Balls has no such problem and you can be sure that however your ball is lying you will get the same result.

So apart from a tendency for the more average player to strip the thin cover with less than accurate iron shots!

This may be a negative in that respect, but these balls are intended for the better players who know their balls, and can tell the difference, not only between makes of golf balls, but between the options provided by each maker.

2)  Titleist Pro V1

Titleist Pro V1 Golf Balls, White, Low Numbers 1-4 (One Dozen)

Last updated on May 15, 2023 04:37

Features

  • Extraordinary Distance with Consistent Flight
  • Very Low Long Game Spin and Penetrating Trajectory
  • Drop-and-Stop Short Game Control
  • Very Soft Feel

If you’re not playing with Titleist Pro V1 golf balls yet I suggest you give them a try. They have been my favorites since I tried them when they were launched in 2000 and were designed specifically for distance.

They were good then, and when I tried their new version a couple of years ago they were even better!

Features

Consistency in distance and spin control are the two big requirements in a golf ball, and I found that I could hit the new Pro V1 as long as any of the specialized distance balls I have tried, but with a great deal more consistency.

If your swing is consistent your distance will be consistent with the Pro V1.

What really makes this ball so special is its spin control. Usually distance balls are hard to spin and the soft cover balls are hard to get real distance with.

When I first played with this ball I found I could do both with no effort at all. The Titleist Pro V1 does it all!

The core has been tweaked for even more distance, and they switched to a new urethane cover with a unique dimple design not only to increase speed and distance over the original, but also to impart a lot more spin.

I find it fabulous for playing balls into the greens. I can get maximum speed into my swing and stop the ball bang in the middle of the green.

Who Should Use Titleist Pro V’s?

You’ve got to be good to play with them though. They are not for high handicap golfers that hit the green then bounce on another 20 or 30 yards. You’ve got to be able to control the spin.

If you have gone above that level to below handicap 14 or so, and are still playing with cheap balls, try a switch. They are by far the most popular golf balls on the professional tour.

There’s just the one problem with it – well, two really. The cover is a bit on the thin side and a ball will need changed every 18 to 36 holes depending on how good you are.

Also, I find this a high priced ball, and it’s just as easy to hack into the trees or lake as any other. If you have a high handicap you don’t want to be paying this price for golf balls.

3) The Titleist Pro V1x

I also tried the other ball in the range, the Pro V1x. I’m not good enough to play with it and it didn’t suit me, but it’s designed for good pro golfers who really whack the ball with a faster than normal swing. It cuts back slightly on the spin since you don’t want so much spin that it rolls right back at you.

The Titlelist Pro V1 balls have been the market leaders for years. If any decent golfer asks me my recommendation for the best golf ball I have played, it has to be the Pro V1. Fantastic off the tee with a great feel on the green.

If you have reached a level of golf where you have a consistent swing and some control over spin, you should give the Pro V1 a try. If you’re interested in looking at other brands, the Nike One golf balls are comparable.

The advanced technology now available has enabled them to produce just about the most perfect golf ball there is.

It won’t automatically make you a better golfer but you will find the Callaway Golf Superhot Bold Matte Golf Ball more precision driven than any other golf ball on the market.

Key Features of the Callaway Golf Superhot Bold Matte are Central power reaction core, Soft lonomer outer cover & HEX Aerodynamics technology.

What Can Be Improved By Callaway Golf

Well, apart from the golf balls only being available in one color, and some people (believe it or not) like the day-glow yellow or green, there is very little improvement that can be considered for the Callaway Golf Superhot Bold Matte Golf Ball. There balls available in matte finish Green, Orange and Red.

This has got to be the most advanced construction and design for a golf ball available on the market today.

The Callaway Golf Superhot Bold Matte Golf Ball is a powerful golf ball that has been designed with the pro golfer in mind.

The soft inner core makes the golf ball sail away from the tee with a precision that is truly breathtaking.

This increase in speed is achieved by the power reaction core. The golf ball has a soft inner that increases in firmness towards its outer edge.

Every golfer is looking for anything that will improve their game and the golf ball is an important part of that process. If you are just starting out in golf, you may think that golf balls are all alike.

This could not be further form the truth. In all honesty, a high caliber golf ball like the Callaway Golf Superhot Bold Matte will not put you into the Masters league but you will certainly benefit from its unique technology.

The Callaway Golf Superhot Bold Matte Golf Balls are specifically designed to increase driving length and speed from the tee without huge spin that can send it careering out of control.

This gives greater accuracy over distance. Not only that, the special core enables a great spin when used with irons or drivers. The core gives the ball a greater control over shorter shots.

As you will have noticed, golf balls have dimples on the outside. This is not for aesthetic appearance; the dimples reduce drag in speed and enable a ball to fly better and more accurately.

The space between the dimples could be considered dead space and so Callaway have devised and use a revolutionary technique called HEX Aerodynamics in the Callaway Golf Superhot Bold Matte Golf Balls.

This design replaces the dimples in the golf ball to produce surface coverage of 100%.

The honeycomb design reduces the conventional dead space that exists between ordinary dimples in golf balls to remove that inefficiency thus making the Callaway Golf Superhot Bold Matte Golf Balls more aerodynamic in all weather conditions.

As you would expect Callaway spend all of their time devising and developing techniques to improve the golfing game.

This flair and passion is reflected in the simplistic but revolutionary equipment and accessories they produce.

Their extensive testing procedure ensures that the latest technology is employed to its fullest use before release.

This ensures that all new products are at the top of their range in terms of optimum performance, technology and construction.

  • BRIDGESTONE E6 SOFT GOLF BALLS: A high-performance alternative to golf balls from TaylorMade, Wilson, Titleist, Callaway, Srixon and other leading brands of men's golf balls for sale

If you’ve had failure with your distance balls to perform on the green, it’s high time you gave the new Bridgestone E6 golf ball a try.

What’s so unique about the Bridgestone E6 is that it is the only two-piece urethane covered golf ball available today! That’s why it can give you not only the same results as tour proven and urethane balls but an increased level of power as well.

In addition, its new technology involves delta dimples which are responsible for its increased distance performance.

The outer dimple encourages a slight angle when the ball is descending for a longer role, while the inside dimple’s job is to boost power of thrust upon launch.

The urethane cover also provides a soft responsive feel, excellence of performance and shot shaping control.

Today’s technology ensures that this ball with its seamless design will offer you only the most high tech aerodynamics resulting in an unswerving flight path which finally provides exacting precision.

Hardly any golf ball OEMs bother to invest as much energy and time into increasing their brand options as does Bridgestone.

It’s no surprise that golfers everywhere , all the way from fanatic die-hards to end of the work week casual player, are fully aware of the ball fitting that changed the industry…

Features

432 seamless double dimple design
New large gradational compressing kinetic energy core
Unique 2-piece Tour-caliber urethane cover construction

How The Ball Looks

As with other Bridgestone golf balls, its normal seamless dimple design is the same that we have all come to appreciate. But upon close up review, the E6’s doubled dimple technology is evident.

Well, at first glance, the Bridgestone E6 golf ball’s complex technology involved in the double dimple design (as itrelates to the ball’s increased performance), is not entirely evident.

On the tee, fairway or green, there is no distinguishable difference from this ball and any other ordinary golf ball; nothing distracting. The difference is not noticed until the ball is hit.

What Kind Of Distance Can You Expect

By now, all of us have had our share of balls declaring themselves distance golf balls. And usually every time we hit one, we probably all experienced much the same results; a ball that goes far away if it is hit hard and the ball itself even feels hard.

The Bridgestone E6 golf ball undeniably achieves the anticipated long distance but the golf ball’s ‘feel’ is still present. The results of a good swing is a rewarding mid trajectory.

The carry is not particularly high, but rather lower and longer with a more shallow descent angle. And as any good golfer knows, carry and roll is a stellar combo for any golf ball.

Is It A Forgiving Ball

One thing that stands out above the E6 is how it provides greater distance right off the tee and still manages to be the same as when you utilize your irons.

Bridgestone has another hit on their hands with the E6. Ordinarily, iron play is such an inconsistent part of your golf game.

But once you have those distances mastered, the last thing any golfer needs is a golf ball that will alter the progress that they have worked so hard to achieve.

Fortunately, iron play with the E6 is comparable to the B330 tour caliber put out by Bridgestone that has afforded so much success for golfers out on any number of professional tours.

What’s The Cost Comparison

What it all boils down to is the old expression used by anyone referring to a great golf ball of exceptional overall value… the “Best bang for your buck”. Purchasing 12 Bridgestone E6 ball golf balls is doable either online or in stores everywhere.

For the more experienced and fine tuned player that is accustomed to a tour caliber ball, it is entirely possible that they would notice certain characteristics regarding the E6 that might possibly lead them to return to that tour ball.

However, the majority of the population of golfers that use a golf ball of tour caliber (without really having the game) will be well pleased; now there is a ball available that will assure a lot of the same characteristics, yet won’t cost much for a ball!

Reputation

When I looked at what others said, this ball easily scored high rating. It is recommended by many that possible users of this ball participate in a Bridgestone ball fitting. Bridgestone’s website lists locations of all fittings in your area.

Golfers loyal to higher end (and way higher priced) golf balls continue to be surprised how quickly and completely they fall in love with Bridgestone’s E6 after the first time they use it on the course.

Golfers who never heard of or considered a ‘ball fitting’ are finding out just how essential it can be. Leave it to Bridgestone to think of something like this.

One golfer after comparing it to his usual ProV1x is beyond impressed with the E6 for its distance and trajectory. And as far as durability goes, the same player reports that the E6 is second to none.

Lets Wrap This Up

Bridgestone’s new line of E6 golf balls is thus far, a big hit not only in the minds of golfers but on the course as well.

6) TaylorMade TP5X Prior Generation Golf Balls

TaylorMade TP5X Golf Balls, White (One Dozen)

Last updated on May 15, 2023 04:37

Features

  • 5 LAYERS. ZERO COMPROMISES. TP5x feature a Tri-Fast Core and Dual-Spin Cover that combine for a 5-layer golf ball construction that is specifically engineered to perform with every club in your bag.
  • TRI-FAST CORE. The unique 3-layer core system in TP5 and TP5x features progressive compression, enabling maximum energy transfer and generating massive speed on full shots.
  • DUAL-SPIN COVER. Contrast of an ultra-soft cast urethane & a semi-rigid inner-cover creates maximum interaction between the cover & club grooves, resulting in exceptional spin performance with full wedge shots & pinpoint control from around the green.

So there is a lot of buzz around the courses about the new TaylorMade TP5X golf ball, so I thought I’d take a peak and see what this thing is all about.

It goes without saying that since it is a 5 layer ball; it’s not going to be on the inexpensive side, but what great performing ball is?

Each layer of a multi-level ball, as most of you know, is designed to address and enhance specific characteristics of a golf shot. Spin, feel and distance are the most common.

What we find in a lot of 4 and 5 layer balls however is that although they seem to excel in some areas, they tend to lack in others, this is perhaps why most golfers use a good two or three layer ball.

The TaylorMade TP5X has taken the flaws most commonly seen in these balls and addressed each one individually, and seems to have nearly perfected every one of the 5 layers that make up the TP5X.

Let’s take a closer look as to why this ball my finally solve the riddles lots of higher end balls have failed to do.

Outer Shell Of TaylorMade TP5X Ball

We all love a ball with a soft feel that can still deliver higher spin rates while still maintaining a lower launch angle.

There are a handful of balls out there that accomplish this rather well, however these balls often lack the punch, so we are left sacrificing a little distance.

The TP5X’s urethane cover offers all the features you would expect in a tour level ball, with the rare advantage of not having to sacrifice distance and accuracy.

Outer Mantle Of TaylorMade TP5X

The outer mantle is the balls spin layer. This layer is optimized for your short iron and rescue club game. More often than not, a ball that promotes higher speed lacks the control and distance factors; TP5X has this covered as well.

Not only can you generate the spin needed for the shot you need to make, but you can also count on the Penta to achieve the distance necessary to get you where you need to be.

The ball still maintains that low launch level, while giving you plenty of spin on the ball, a huge advantage rarely seen in any golf ball.

Middle Mantle Of TP5X Golf Ball

The middle mantel is made from TP5X’s new proprietary material, is the main function is to allow the other layers to do their jobs, without sacrificing control.

Besides distance, control is perhaps the most sought after characteristic we all want from our golf balls, especially when we are paying north of 40 dollars a dozen.

Designed specifically for your long iron game, the middle mantle allows you to keep the ball low in order to maximize distance.

More often than not, balls with the features mentioned previously fall short here, subsequently leaving you ball short of its intended target, in this case the target is the green.

With the TaylorMade TP5X there will be no more ballooning or falling just short of the green into a bunker.

Inner Mantle Of TaylorMade TP5X Ball

So far it seems the TP5X is only good for low-level high spin shots. We all know there are many times throughout the course of 18 holes where we need a high loft and a steep descending angle, to “plop” the ball where we want it.

This issue is addressed with the TP5X’s 4th inner mantle. The Inner mantle gives you the best of both worlds here, long distance with a controllable, soft landing.

The TaylorMade TP5X Core

The core as we know is the heart of any golf ball. Some prefer a lower compression rate, while others are willing to sacrifice distance for more control. The TP5X offers you the best of both worlds here.

The core allows for high launch levels and low spin rates off the tee, which maximizes the carry AND distance, great for those heavy hitters out there.

How Much Do They Cost?

With the price of golf balls not coming down, I don’t know about you, but I am looking for a deal. You can get this ball online, which is getting close to the Titleist ProV1…I know.

But I sometimes will get the “non” standard balls, and in this case the TaylorMade TP5X Practice Golf Balls, which are a bit cheaper. You can also get a sleeve of them, so you can save a few bucks and see if you like them.

Conclusion

From all indications the TaylorMade TP5X 5 layer tour ball is the real deal. No longer will we all have to sacrifice on feature for another. If there was a perfect ball in all our heads, this may very well be the one guys!

7) Srixon Q Star Golf Balls

Srixon Q-Star 4 Golf Balls 2017 1 Dozen Yellow

$24.99
Last updated on May 15, 2023 04:37

Features

  • Lower-Compression Energetic Gradient Growth Core
  • Third Generation Spin Skin Coating.
  • Aerodynamic 338 Speed Dimple Pattern

Most of us tend to stick with a decent three piece golf ball; for the most part they are affordable and do what we need them to do.

The Srixon Q Star ball has created quite a stir as of late in the world of three piece construction.

The Q Star has a lot to offer for the price. Take a look at what makes this ball so good for the price.

The balls target user is for any avid golfer, within nearly every skill level, including armatures with low handicaps.

The makeup of the ball uses a softer middle layer and extremely resilient patented Energetic Gradient Growth Core that offers a higher launch angle with reduced spin, offering maximum distance. The Srixon is marketed to those heavy hitters for a reason!

Srixon  Q Star Golf Ball

The middle layer of the Q Star is made up form Rabalon blended Ionomer material. This layer is responsible for the overall control of the ball.

It’s specifically designed to complement the balls awesome distance potential, without losing control of your shot.

This layer is especially useful to those golfers who consistently hit lower shots with a high rate of spin, allowing it still to create the distance necessary, even in windy, less desirable conditions.

Core Of Srixon Q Star

The core is the engine that drives every ball, and the Srixon offers a killer one and is certainly a long balls hitters dream.

This low compression core is larger than most cores on the market at 38mm, and offers incredible acceleration right off the tee, allowing it to drive through even the worst of playing conditions.

The fact that the Srixon offers such a responsive core, yet still took the time to address feel and control is rather unusual in the golf ball world.

More often than not, us golfers are forced to sacrifice feel and spin to get the maximum distance from our balls.

Srixon Q Star Outer Shell

The outer shell is comprised of 324 dimples which improves the aerodynamics and spin of the ball.

The rather soft yet durable outer shell offers great feel and touch for the finesse player and with the combine efforts of the two superior inner layers, adds distance for those who would like to add more distance to their shots.

The ideal golfer who should certainly give this ball a try would be one with the following swing characteristics.

  • Slow to medium swing speed
  • Decent mechanics no matter the handicap
  • Could benefit from more distance, not just off the tee
  • Prefers feel and touch over power

The Srixon Q Star Balls are also offered in a Tour Ball. The Q Star tour goes one step further than than the Q Star, offering even greater feel and control, all the while keeping its main focus on distance well intact. The series is also offered in a Yellow ball for those of you who prefer than style.

Srixon is so confident that you will like their new Q Star series, they invite you to compare their ball to any one of the following competing golf balls.

Titleist Pro V1

Callaway Golf Superhot Bold Matte

Bridgestone EX 6 Series

TaylorMade TP5X

Conclusion

To me it says allot about the confidence a company has about its product when they are point blank asking you to compare their product, to not one, but several well respected brands.

This ball is defiantly worth trying out and seeing for yourself if the ball delivers on its promises!

How To Choose The Best Golf Balls For Distance?

When it comes to choosing the best golf balls it is all a personal choice if you are a beginner, then it’s better to choose the ball which is designed for beginners. The best ball for one player may not be the top ball for another player. To choose the best ball a player needs to access their playing style, ability and environment.

These three factors will help a player choose the ball that best suits their game and will greatly impact their performance..

Choosing a Golf Ball Based on Playing Style

There are three basic golf ball types and each type has its own effect on a player’s game. The balata golf ball is a softball that allows for more spin and control.

They are also the most expensive and the main choice of professionals. The two-piece ball is better for a player with a higher handicap. This ball type allows for more distance.

A combination ball takes the best features of the other two types and is great for almost anyone. It is really important for a player to consider their own playing style when choosing their best golf ball type.

Choosing a Golf Ball Based on Ability

The level of play you are at as a golfer, or better known as your ability will also be a major factor in choosing the ball that is better suited for your game.

In fact, if you are a high handicap golfer, it really doesn’t matter what you play. You won’t notice much of a difference in your performance.

When you get to a single digit, you will want to pay more attention to what ball performs the best for you. Whether you a long hitter or an accurate iron player that is looking for control on the greens.

Unfortunately, as you get better, the balls get more expensive.

Choosing a Golf Ball Based on Environment

Another major consideration when choosing the best golf balls is to consider the playing environment. Wetter courses require a far different ball type than dry courses. This is the reason why many players carry different types of balls.

Harder balls work better for wet courses, where softer balls work best for dry courses. In addition, the temperature has a great effect on golf balls. The

compression of a ball acts differently in different temperature situations. If a player plays on different courses or a course that has variable weather

conditions, they must consider this when choosing their best golf balls.

So which are Best Golf Ball Brands?

As you may have guessed, the best golf balls are a personal opinion. What one golfer might think is the best ball, might be completely opposite of what another golfer thinks.

With that being said, as golfers… we know that Titleist, Callaway and probably Nike have the best balls available, and a price tag to go with them. These are huge companies, with huge R & D labs to test and try the most cutting-edge applications to golf balls.

Titleist Golf Balls

Titleist golf balls are the most known from a brand standpoint. The Titleist Pro V1 is by far the top of the heap and what a majority of the PGA Players have in their bags.

I really enjoy playing with this ball, unfortunately if your swing is off that day, it can be an expensive round of golf. I also find I scuff up Pro V’s pretty quickly which is disappointing for the price you pay. Will this ball make or break your score? Probably not, if you’re a 10 handicap or higher.

The next step down is the NXT Tour and strong>Regular ball. I’ve played with them a couple of times, and found them to feel a bit hard (especially after playing the Pro V1). Overall I thought it was a good ball, and would play it again, but it would not be my personal, first choice golf ball to put in my bag.

The DT Solo is the bottom rung for Titleist.

I have never played with this ball until I launched this site and had to break down and buy a three-pack for this review. Titleist says, “The Titleist DT SoLo golf ball applies a high-lift design to maximize distance for golfers with average and moderate swing speeds seeking the ultimate combination of distance with soft feel and guaranteed cut-proof durability.”

I personally didn’t like how hard it felt when putting. I had no feel on the greens with this ball.

Callaway Golf Balls

The Callaway Golf Balls are the balls I usually play, if I’m just hacking it around and not taking it too seriously. Their 2011 golf balls including the Callaway’s Tour iZ, Diablo Tour Ball, Tour i(S), as well as their HX Tour Golf Ball.

I have played this ball on several occasions and must say it is comparable to the Titleist Pro V1. It has great feel on the greens; moderate spin, but stops very quickly on the green; and feels nice off the putter face. I would call it a toss up between the Pro V1 and the HX Tour Golf Ball!

The next one down is the HX Hot Golf Ball. This is the ball I play 80% of the time.

This ball gives me nice distance, with moderate action on the greens. It is a little harder feeling with the putter, but when I play it most of the time, I don’t notice it as much. This is a good ball for the mid-handicap golfer.

Then you’ve got Big Bertha and Warbird Balls. Much harder feeling, with minimal action when hitting the green. Feels like a rock off the putter face. I bought a three-pack for this review of both of these, but would not buy them again. The high handicapper might like it, and the price is very reasonable.

Nike Golf Balls

Nike has a ton of balls. Their newest including the Nike One Vapor Speed golf ball, Nike Power Distance Soft Golf Ball,Crush, and Karm. Their top balls are the Nike One Black and Platinum.

Even though I have been a Nike consumer my whole like, I am not with their golf products. I did go out and buy the two above balls and have to say they are very good. In fact, I was surprised how much I like them.

They are priced with the Pro V1′s, so are a bit steep. Definitely more for the low single-digit golfer. Nike One golf balls are definitely worth a look. Nike also has the Nike Ignite golf ball.

The next teir is the Nike Excite, Mojo and Distance golf balls. I have never played any of these balls, but again, got a three pack of each and alternated them throughout a round of golf.

As you can probably imagine, it took me several rounds of golf to play all the mentioned balls on this page. I was not thrilled with the Mojo or Distance balls, but the Excite was not bad.

I am so partial to my Callaway’s and Pro V1′s, that it is hard to give a good look at the other, but again, for the high handicapper, not a bad choice. Priced between $24 and $16 won’t hurt your wallet too much!

Taylormade Golf Balls

Taylormade may be known for their golf clubs, but they have become a strong golf ball brand as well. Designing golf balls like the Taylormade TP5X golf ball. As well as the Burner Tour, TP Black and Burner golf balls.

Other golf balls that are strong contenders are the Bridgestone, especially the E6 ball, and Srixon Q Star distance golf ball is another ball that some golfers consider the best golf balls for distance.
